Leadership & Change

Leadership or plain management? Why making that difference? In our view, there is indeed an important distinction to make. A leader certainly also must manage, but not every manager will (be able to) lead. Leadership is about defining the right direction for the organization, achieving this direction with the available resources and getting the people in the organization capable, involved and engaged to make this happen, each day again.

So, leaders certainly have something with employee engagement. If they succeed in inspiring their employees, and generating their commitment, then the work is half done. But how do you do that, engaging people? A coaching leadership style will help you go a long way. To us coaching means 'unleashing the potential, facilitating the constructive learning process with others'. People who are subject of such a process, experience attention and recognition. This is precisely the fuel people need to get the engagement engine in motion or to keep it running. How can a leader lead in a coaching way?
