HR Management
The HR department is challenged more and more to demonstrate its added value to the organization. The HR profession has evolved strongly over the years, and the skills you need in order to be successful as an HR professional are very different from those you needed let's say 10 years ago when working in a traditional personnel department. The administrative tasks of the HR role have been transferred to line management by self-service tools, e-HR and the creation of service centers and helpdesks. This evolution should have allowed HR to concentrate on the so-called tasks with added value. Time to become a real partner of the business and a great opportunity to take on the role of the advisor, change facilitator and strategic partner. Key in this development is the relationship between HR and management: to what extent do HR professionals succeed in developing a trusted relationship with management? How do they do this? What are the pitfalls? With several clients we work on this transition: from a successful 'expert' to a respected 'business partner'.
